The Human Genetics Amplifier (HuGeAMP) is a software platform and infrastructure that aggregates, integrates, and analyzes human genetic and genomic data in order to spark insights into complex diseases.

The Knowledge Portal Network (KPN) is ecosystem of interconnected web portals that facilitate innovative and intuitive analysis and visualization of biomedical data. The Knowledge Portals that are based on human genetic association data, listed below, are powered by the HuGeAMP platform.

The Knowledge Portals:

  • aggregate comprehensive data relevant to diseases and traits;

  • harmonize and analyze the data;

  • represent the data in a way that helps researchers to distill meaning from them; and

  • provide interactive tools for custom analyses that access individual-level data in a secure manner.

We welcome new collaborations. Please contact us at help@kp4cd.org.

What's new

Join us on Thursday, March 11th at 12pm U.S. Eastern time for a webinar featuring an innovative new tool being developed in Jason Flannick's group. The Human Genetics Calculator (HuGe Calculator) integrates several kinds of genetic evidence to quantify human genetic support for involvement of a gene in a phenotype or disease of interest, with the aim of helping researchers prioritize genes. It will soon be available in the Common Metabolic Diseases Knowledge Portal and its component disease-specific portals.

Circulating lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)]concentration is a predictive biomarker of cardiovascular disease. In a new study (Dron, Wang, et al., 2021), researchers in Amit Khera's group performed a GWAS for Lp(a) levels and then used the results as input to develop a polygenic score for Lp(a) concentrations.

Find out what's new with the Knowledge Portals in our latest newsletter.

With our January 2021 release, we've continued to add new tools and features to the Common Metabolic Diseases Knowledge Portal (CMDKP) and its component disease-specific portals.
