Dataset subjects

Subjects were participants in the UK Biobank, a national and international health resource that aims to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of serious and life-threatening illnesses by following the health and well-being of 500,000 volunteer participants and providing de-identified health information to approved researchers from academia and industry. All subjects were of European ancestry.

Experiment summary

A genome-wide association study was performed for eight measures of sleep timing (both raw and rank-normalized) that were obtained from activity monitors worn continuously for one week by UK Biobank participants. The rank-normalized phenotype associations may be viewed in the tables and interfaces of the SDKP, and summary statistics for both raw and rank-normalized measures are available for download.
